History
The origin of numerology can be dated as far as 10,000 years or more, to the time of Egyptian and Babylonian rule. A very famous mathematician named Pythagoras is known to be the originator of this technique about 2,600 years ago in ancient Greece. He was also the person who presented the world with the popular Pythagoras theorem or right angle theorem. However, the art of numerology was somewhat unexplored till the start of the twentieth century when Dow Balliet, an American woman, researched on this field and came out with a few books which marked a new phase in numerology. Through years, this art has developed gradually and has become a topic of great interest and research in today’s world.
There are certain laws that govern this art. Numerology basically deals with a star, seven planets and a satellite. The planets are Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus. The star is the Sun and satellite is the Moon. These nine are called planets in astrological terminology and are numbered 1 through 9 depending upon their vibrations.
It is well known that every object in this universe vibrates with a unique frequency which means that by calculating the rate of vibration of the object, we can successfully determine the certain energies and qualities associated with it.
